Audios - Body in Poetry
body in poetry
welcome to this powerful embodying journey through the four elements.
My name is Morena Cardoso. I am a body psychoterapist, master in Clinical Psychology, writer (author of The Girl who became the Moon and Manifesto Crisálida), woman, feminist, mother of six (two births), founder and visionary of DanzaMedicina – a practice that has visited dozens of countries in the form of workshops, retreats, and conferences.
For over a decade, throughout my life as a caminante, I' have been dedicated to inspiring, instigating, challenging, and regenerating women through experimental connections between dance, art, deep breathing, transgression, healing movement, choreographic disobedience, and poetry.
As a Latin American woman, I carry in my veins the bittersweet medicine of confronting patriarchal and colonial structures from the dark cave of the womb, deep within the bones.
In the face of an excessively domesticated, restrained, instinct-silenced, plasticized, numbed, and anesthetized patriarchal body-system, wrapped in pasteurized veneer, we call for revolutions conceived through movement. In times of superficiality, disconnection, and exhaustion, we delve deeply into the body, exploring the cracks and fissures, to ignite, through the pores, the life that seeks more life!
It is a great honor for me to guide you through this embodying journey today. With Body in Poetry, you will have the opportunity to experience the poetry and therapy of DanzaMedicina from wherever you are. The program offers four sessions of guided and active meditations, guided by the archetypal potency of the four elements, along with an introductory audio, adding up to 66 minutes of self-discovery practices.
Enjoy and see you soon,
DanzaMedicina Team
